Sami Cooke has today released a mashup of two classic tunes for her fans and the generally curious to check out on YouTube.

The two songs put together are ‘Over The Rainbow’ and ‘What A Wonderful World’.

‘Over The Rainbow’ aka ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow’ is most famous for Judy Garland’s rendition of the song for The Wizard of Oz though some Australians would tell you that Billy Thorpe’s renditions in the 1960’s and 70’s is also something special.

‘What A Wonderful World’ was first recorded by Louis Armstrong in 1967 and originally only made it to #116 on Billboard’s Hot 100 due to a lack of promotion whilst it was a top 10 single in eight countries in 1967/68.

This video is presented in excellent video and sound quality with Sami easy to see and hear which is very important for music viewers and the playing of the Uke gives these two songs a new spin which should interest those who love a twist to songs.

YMA will continue to report on Sami’s music news as it comes to hand.
