Everyday thousands of people are putting up songs on YouTube hoping to be spotting by somebody with influence or trying to get a couple of fans and while this are going on many of you watch the results with fear because a large number of you are not getting many views and it hurts you, it eats you up because you put so much time and effort into recording a song and for it to get under a hundred views must be crushing.

I may be an amateur news reporter but I feel the pain that many aspiring hit makers are feeling, I see it in pictures on Instagram, I see it in words on Twitter and Facebook and sometimes I feel the pain so much I want to give up too because it hurts to see so many outstanding people end their hopes and dreams because no matter how much encouragement they are given to keep on trying, they look at the facts and figures and decide it just isn’t worth it to keep going.

Every performer has a place in the music world if they work hard and stay humble, the legendary band The Doors once played in clubs where only two or three people would come in all night but they kept going until they were found by the right person who moved them to another club and things picked up pace and before anyone knew it an album called ‘The Doors’ was a hit across the world and from there the music hits kept on coming but it wouldn’t of happened if the band shrugged off the low crowds and decided to keep playing and keep writing and performing songs.

I know a guy named Joel Sulman who was an audio engineer who sometimes played music for a bit of fun while he was doing some internet radio broadcasting but he suddenly believed that his leisurely playing of music could turn into something serious and he worked hard learning various skills and this year he was on stage in Deniliquin, NSW playing at the Deniliquin Blues and Roots Festival, this is proof that the seemingly improbable can in fact become fact if you work hard.

Nirvana made an album that cost under $1000 and it got them going, Hanson fine tuned their music abilities in their garage but in this day of social media it is more important than ever before to help each other out as well as keep fine tuning your music, give Korie Anne a vote here, donate to Kaitlyn’s attempt to get to the CMAA Academy of Country Music here, view Kira Taylor’s ‘Country Girl Things music video here, by doing these things and more for other people you could be making a huge difference in their lives and many other performing artists and you will feel good about it.

Everyday I am pushing for people to vote on ArtistSignal for Erin, Aditi, Ivana, Aria, Lexi and Daria and it is a struggle, I look at who clicks on my weekly updates and I see if anybody clicked on the links and sadly only one or two visits happen but it takes under 2 minutes to vote for all six ladies on ArtistSignal and in a standard waking day you lose a total of around 24 minutes but even if you vote for all six five times a day that is still five votes which could boost them up the ladder and give them additional income to buy, there is always time if you work hard on making the time, sometimes you can do things while walking down your hallway that’s all it takes.

I don’t want to see anybody give up especially if they got the right stuff to make an impact on this world, please consider taking a few minutes out of your day to make a fellow performer’s day special or if you are a fan make a performer happy that they have somebody who cares about what they do, your efforts will be worth it.
