Kaitlyn Thomas appeared on Southern FM this morning to talk about ‘Somebody’s Mother’, As usual Kaitlyn talked with undisguised joy about her journey through life from how she got interested in music to her charity work and her trip to the USA when she was part of the Australian team for the World Championships of Performing Arts, Kaitlyn also discussed how she fits school in for as you could imagine it would be a tight squeeze fitting in schooling and music but Kaitlyn fits it in all nicely and then came the moment everyone has been waiting the story of how ‘Somebody’s Mother’ came to be and then the premiere of ‘Somebody’s Mother’ and it was well worth the wait.

‘Somebody’s Mother’ defies belief, it is sung with such strength and maturity that you won’t believe it comes from a thirteen year old but it does come a thirteen year old and the vocals and the song lyrics will impress and amaze you, to us we describe it as not sounding country and it’s not rock but it has elements of both and it certainly did impress the hosts of the show and they believe that Australian music has a great future.

For those unlucky to not hear the interview and the airing of the song, it was something worth being wide awake for but don’t worry for ‘Somebody’s Mother’ is coming out on Mother’s Day so stay tuned for YMA will be updating you when the song and video will be released for the world to enjoy.
