Charlotte Eriksson aka The Glass Child is a 21 year old Swede singer/songwriter/poet now residing in Berlin, Germany whose journey through music is one to behold.
At the age of 18 Charlotte left everything behind in Sweden to move to London, England so she could dedicate her life to music and art, such a move is the stuff you would see in the many feel good movies of somebody moving to somewhere new in the quest to make it into the big time but Charlotte has made fiction become reality and in the process showing the world that anything can happen if you put yourself up to the challenge.
From her new base in London, Charlotte quickly established her own record company ‘Broken Glass Records’ and within three years released four EP’s and in 2013 released her first album ‘I’d like to remain a mystery‘ with her single ‘I’d Like To Lead You Home‘ reaching #2 on the Swedish iTunes charts and her music ended up being played on many top radio stations including BBC6, Charlotte has also gone into book writing publishing ‘Empty Roads and Broken Bottles, in search for the Great Perhaps’ which was released in April 2013 and was in such high demand copies were sold out within three days of it being offered on pre-order.
Charlotte has a new EP titled ‘Love Always, Your Tragedy‘ and she has many more releases planned for 2014 and beyond all of which will be self released an effort which is inspiring, envied and respected by many around the world.
Charlotte is a creative and inspiring performer with her words and her actions and these are some of the reasons why she is today’s ‘Artist of the Day’.
